Editorial Reviews

During life span of the Bob Crosby Orchestra brother Bing recorded fifteen tracks with the band, all fifteen of those tracks are on this CD which has been specially compiled for collectors everywhere. There are also two tracks where brother Bob vocalizes and a rare Merry Christmas track in which Bing and Bob and guests chat and sing the seasons greetings. To make up the rest of the CD we have included five tracks by three of the most notable artists of the day singing with the Bob Crosby Orchestra. They are the Andrews Sisters (who made some notable recordings with Bing), Fred Astaire and a very young Judy Garland before she appeared in the Wizard of Oz showing a maturity of voice that belies her age... wonderful stuff. You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby, Old Folks, My Reverie, Tea for Two (with Connie Boswell), Yes Indeed (with Connie Boswell), Christmas Greetings (Bing Bob and Connie), San Antonio Rose (New San Antonio Rose), It Makes No Difference Now, Dolores (with the Merry Macs), Pale Moon (with the Merry Macs, Lazy, Let's Start the Year Right, I've Got Plenty to Be Thankful For, I'll Capture Your Heart (With Fred Astaire and Margaret Lenhart), When My Dream Boat Comes Home (With Fred Astaire and Margaret Lenhart), Walkin' the Floor Over You (With Fred Astaire and Margaret Lenhart), Big Noise from Winnetka (vocal: Bob Crosby), Two Sleepy People (vocal: Bob Crosby).Bonus Tracks: Begin the Bequine (vocal: The Andrews Sisters), Long Time No See (vocal: The Andrews Sisters), You're Easy to Dance (Vocal: Fred Astaire), I Can't Tell a Lie (vocal: Fred Astaire), Stompin' at the Savoy (vocal: Judy Garland), Swing Mr Charlie (vocal: Judy Garland).
